BOARD OF REVIEW

This Page Last Updated on 08/06/2004

After Scouts have had a Scoutmaster Conference they must make an appointment for a Board of Review. A Board of Review is conducted by three to five members of the Troop Committee. They meet with the Scout to verify that the requirements for Rank have been completed and to talk to the Scout about their experiences in the Troop. This gives the Troop Committee feedback on the Troop's Program. A BOARD OF REVIEW IS NOT A RETEST OF SCOUT SKILLS. Scouts WILL NOT obtain a rank unless you have a Board of Review except for Scout Rank. SCOUTS MUST TELEPHONE THE ADVANCEMENT CHAIRPERSON to schedule a Board of Review. Board of Reviews generally will not take place the same evening as a Scoutmaster Conference and may be at a location other than the Scout Shack. For a Board of Review you MUST be in your Class A uniform and have your handbook.

At times, it is possible to have a Board of Review for more than one Rank at a time.
