Wampum Events: There are several Wampum Events, which help determine the best overall troop and best overall patrol. Along with these events your patrol’s teamwork, safety, and presentation will be taken into account.
Gateway Competition: Here is your chance to impress other Crescent Bay units and our judges with your pioneering skills. No Prefabricated materials will be allowed. All construction must be done on site and by the Scouts. Construction materials are limited to staves, poles, ropes, and other natural materials. Tools are limited to bow saws and axes. Judging will be based on workmanship and originality of design. Also, there is to be NO staking into the ground without prior approval of the Camp-o-ree Logistics Chairman.
Patrol Flag Competition: Show your scout spirit by participating in this event. Judging will be based on overall design and craftsmanship. Also patrol may want to consider taking their flag with them to events.
Campfire Competition: Patrols may choose to participate in the Saturday night Campfire program. Material must be of good taste, the entire patrol must participate and the presentation must be 3 minutes or less. To sign up for a presentation please do so before 4:00 PM Saturday the 28th.
Camp-o-ree Cook Off: This is a Unit event. This year the unit will be competing for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place as an over all meal. Recipes maybe submitted in either the backpacking or Dutch Oven categories. See instructions for details
Campsite Inspection: Unit campsites will be inspected for adherence to Scouting Standards as stated in the Boy Scout Handbook
