JOINING REQUIREMENTS
In order to join our Troop, boys must be at least 11 years old or be 10 1/2 and completed WEBELOS II, but not be 18 years of age or older. If your son is between 5 and 10 years old, they should join Cub Scouts. Please call the Westside Service Center at 310-839-9905 for information on Cub Scouts in the West Los Angeles and Malibu Areas.

CHOOSING A TROOP
Each Troop is different. Each Troop has it's own program emphasis, types of campouts, and style. We would like to urge any one thinking about joining a Troop to visit with several Troops in your area. Ask questions about their Program, Policies, and Participation requirements. Make sure that the Troop's Meeting Night works with your family's schedule. Make sure that the Troop that you decide to join meets your son's needs. Joining a Troop that does a lot of Backpacking when your son hates to hike will just turn him off to Scouting. There are several different Troops out there. Find one that meets your son's needs.

WE CURRENTLY ARE ACCEPTING NEW SCOUTS
Our Troop believes that parental participation is vital to the success or failure of Scouts in our Troop. We ask that all parents support the Troop by driving on two to three campouts each year and working at least one shift at our Annual Spring Spaghetti Dinner fund raiser. Parents also support the Troop by serving on the Troop Committee and as Assistant Scoutmasters / Patrol Advisors.
