being brought.
- Patrol members who do not pay for food prior to it

- It is recommended that an experienced Scout such as an
older Patrol member, the APL, PL, Troop Instructor, or Troop Guide accompany
the Grubmaster while he purchases food for the first time. This Scout is to
act as an Advisor to the Grubmaster. The Grubmaster should still purchase
the food and supplies.
- If purchasing food for a backpacking trip, remember
that weight, bulk and sometimes water are a factor and need to be
considered.
- On some campouts, water is scarce and needs to be
considered.
- The Grubmaster needs to ensure that they have enough
room at home to store the perishable food at their house or make other
arrangements.
- If you check ahead of time, some markets may give
discounts to Scouts.
