REQUIREMENTS: Life Rank and Scoutmaster Approval

CHOSEN BY: Appointed by Senior Patrol Leader

TERM: One Year

REPORTS TO: SPL and Scoutmaster

DUTIES:

Assists SPL

Takes place of SPL in his absence.

Trains and Supervises Assigned Junior Leaders and Assists Them with Their Areas of Responsibilities.

Sets a Good Example

Attends at least 75% of Troop activities.

Must be proficient in Basic Scouting Skills.

Sign off on Rank advancement for Tenderfoot through First Class in accordance with Troop’s Advancement Guidelines.

Responsible for Troop Scribe, Troop Quartermasters, Troop Historian, Webmaster, Fire Wardens, Order of the Arrow Representative, and Troop Librarian.

Evaluates Troop Scribe, Troop Quartermasters, Troop Historian, Webmaster, Fire Wardens, Order of the Arrow Representative, and Troop Librarian on a monthly basis.

Responsible for performing or delegating assigned Junior Leaders duties when they are not present or there is a vacancy.

Campout Responsibilities: Supervises inside of Scout Shack making sure that Patrols get needed gear out of equipment room. Supervise Troop Quartermasters. Makes sure Quartermasters bring spare tent parts and tent roster for campout. Assist with any equipment issues on campout. Assist Quartermasters with checking tents to make sure they are set up properly, tent bags are stored properly, and inspect tents prior to taking them down. Supervise building of Campfire and supervise Troop Fire Wardens.
