REQUIREMENTS: Life Rank and Scoutmaster Approval

CHOSEN BY: Appointed by Senior Patrol Leader

TERM: One Year

REPORTS TO: SPL, Program ASM, and Scoutmaster

DUTIES:

• Assists SPL

• Takes place of SPL in his absence.

• Responsible for Troop’s Program

• Makes sure classes and activities are well planned, organized, and executed.

• Approves Class Outlines.

• Plans Scout’s Own Service and Campfire on campouts.

• Trains assigned Junior Leaders.

• Sets a Good Example

• Attends at least 75% of Troop activities.

• Must be proficient in Basic Scouting Skills.

• Sign off on Rank advancement for Tenderfoot through First Class in accordance with Troop’s Advancement Guidelines.

• Responsible for Troop Instructors, Class Presenters and Chaplain’s Aides.

• Evaluates Troop Instructors, and Chaplain’s Aides on a monthly basis.

• Responsible for performing or delegating assigned Junior Leaders duties when they are not present or there is a vacancy.

• Campout Responsibilities: Assist with loading trailer. Assist with Troop Campout Program. Plans Troop Campfire and Scout’s Own.
